Londy
Games for the two of you, across any distance.
Free. Works in your browser. Takes about a minute to set up.
Both boards open at the same moment, or not at all.
You
Léa
Léa takes it today.
Built around the gap, not in spite of it
Nobody has to be online
She plays over breakfast, you play on the last train. The puzzle waits. Eight hours between you changes nothing except how long the suspense lasts.
No performance anxiety
While she's playing you can see that she's playing — never how well. No score to chase, no timer breathing on you, nothing to rush for.
Something to talk about
Long distance runs out of small talk fast. This gives you a shared thing that happened today, every day, that isn't a status report.
How it works
Pair up
One of you makes a six-letter code. The other types it in. That's the whole setup.
Play whenever
The same word for both of you, six guesses each. Her morning, your evening — it doesn't matter.
Reveal together
Neither board opens until you've both finished. Fewest guesses wins; ties go to the clock.
What's in it
Hidden reactions
Finish first and leave something sealed — smug, sheepish, sweet. They only see it at the reveal, long after you committed to it.
A streak you keep together
A day only counts when you've both played it. The number belongs to the two of you, not to either one.
Three difficulty levels
Easy sticks to everyday words. Useful when English isn't a first language for both of you — and it usually isn't.
Learn the word
Every answer comes with a one-line definition at the reveal, so a word you've never met leaves you with something.
A nudge, not a notification storm
One message when your partner finishes. It never tells you their time or their score — that would spoil the reveal.
Lives on your home screen
Add it once and it opens like an app. No store, no download, no update to install.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. No ads, no payment, nothing locked behind anything.
Do we both need an account?
One each. Whoever signs up first generates an invite code and sends it over; the other enters it. You're paired from then on.
What if we're in completely different time zones?
That's the case it was built for. Neither of you needs to be online at the same time, and the new word arrives at 4am UTC so a late night still counts as the same day.
Do I need to install an app?
No — it runs in any browser. You can add it to your home screen if you want it to open like an app, and on iPhone that's also what makes notifications possible.
Does it have to be a romantic partner?
No. It's built for couples, but nothing stops you pairing with a friend, a sibling, or anyone else you'd like a daily excuse to talk to.
What happens to our data?
Your email, the name you choose, and your game history. We never sell it and never share it with advertisers. We use Google Analytics to see which parts of the app people actually use, that's the only third party involved, and there's no advertising anywhere.
